Swatch Watch
Swatch Watch. It is a cultural icon that remains vibrant today. They just introduced a watch with a chip to make purchases. When they wanted to break into the US market in the early 1980's, I was brought in to help develop their graphic direction. I created a variety and quantity of designs that found their way into watches, sweatshirts, backpacks, etc.. The biggest lesson that I learned is that one never knows if a new product will succeed. No one thought that it would fly in the US. But as we know, it certainly did.
